AVC ( H.264 )
AVC or H.264 is a new video compression standard and can offer the same quality video as MPEG-2 at only a third or half the size of MPEG-2 files of the same quality. H.264 can be 30% smaller than DivX / XviD and still offer the same quality video.
H.264 codec is one of the official video codecs used in "next generation" video discs, HD-DVD and Blue-ray.
